Jeremy Caudle

Bio

For more than 20 years I have been learning about the web and working on websites. My first website existed only on an old 100 MHz PC, and any images I had were either made by me or downloaded from the web onto a floppy disk wherever I could get access. I didn't have an internet connection at home, but I made the best of every opportunity to get online. My first exposure to HTML was within a book, HTML 4 for the World Wide Web by Elizabeth Castro, at my local library. That book started my obsession with building for the web and I'm still actively learning about it today.

Currently living in Norman, Oklahoma with my family, I work as a web developer for E-TEAM.

During my time at Sgt Grit, I worked on and helped manage various types of projects: art production (for t-shirts, coins, and decals), content management, email design and marketing, print and online advertising, web design and development, SEO, and SEM. I worked with a small and talented in-house team in addition to some remote teams during my time there. I learned a lot working with them, and I am grateful to have had such an opportunity.

Projects

Personal Projects

Everyday Development (Trial)

1/25/18 to 2/21/18

I tried to spend some time everyday working on front-end development for about 28 days. It was a lot of fun and I planned on giving it another try, but didn't do anything similar until 2021's 100 Days of Code.

My Retro Japanese Games Collection

While living in Japan I often visited thrift stores and recycle shops in search of older Japanese video games. This was a way for me to keep track of what I found. Originally static, now integrated into this site's CMS.

100 Days of Code - 2021

2/9/21 to 5/19/21

While working on some courses on Treehouse, I noticed they had a 100 days of code challenge and badge, so I gave it a shot and learned a lot in the process.
